Elberta Peach Scionwood
Elberta Peach Scionwood
Elberta is a classic American peach introduced in 1875 by Samuel H. Rumph in Marshallville. For over a century, it has been one of the most widely planted and recognized peach varieties in the United States.
Fruit is large with golden-yellow skin covered in a bright red blush. The flesh is firm, juicy, and sweet with a mild tang. Elberta is a freestone variety, making it excellent for fresh eating, canning, baking, and freezing. Ripens mid- to late-season (August in the Midwest).
Trees are vigorous, productive, and adaptable, performing well across a wide range of growing regions.
