Grysen Growers original recipe for the week is

Casey's Creamy Sausage Pasta

16ounces of pasta of your choice

1 package of 5 chicken sausage. ( we like the Aldi tomato and basil)

1 sweet onion

2 cloves of garlic

1 or 2 sprigs of oregano

1 or 2 sprigs of basil

3 leaves of swiss chard (chopped)

2 tbsp olive oil

2 cups of roasted red pepper soup (we love the pacific foods brand)

1/2 cup of pasta sauce

1/2 block of cream cheese (cubed)

pinch of crushed red pepper

• Cook pasta according to package instructions.

• Cut and brown chicken sausage in a pan.

• Heat the olive oil in a separate pan and add diced up sweet onion, minced garlic, oregano, swiss chard and basil and cook until tender.

• Add the roasted red pepper soup and pasta sauce.

• Add the cubed cream cheese and whisk until melted in.

• Add crushed red pepper and chicken sausage.

• Add your sauce to your noodles and stir.

• Serve hot and top with grated parmesan cheese.
